Thai Yoga Massage

Is a richly rewarding holistic therapy that can relax as well as energise, help to maintain good health and assist in relieving many common ailments. This ancient art has close relationships, with: Indian Ayurveda, Yoga, Shiatsu, and is widely practiced in Thailand.

Simply put the main focus of Thai Yoga Massage is helping to regain balance in the flow of energy in the body. Working on both the superficial and deeper layers of muscle, ligaments, joints and connective tissue, and it touches all areas of the body including the nervous, digestive and respiratory systems.

The uniqueness of Thai Yoga Massage is it’s ability to incorporate rather than limit. It’s wholesome, rounded flowing style produces the feelings of being grounded, gently stretched, refreshed, balanced and deeply relaxed.  This is achieved through the application of rhythmic compression to the main energy lines and points of the body (Shen lines) and gentle stretching movement. It is very much a form of meditation for the both giver and receiver as both participants move into a space of gentle trust and receptivity.

The massage can be beneficial for:

  • Improving suppleness & joint mobility
  • Releasing tension & relaxing the mind
  • Alleviating the stains of modern living caused by stress &postural problems
  • Relief from aches and pains, including headaches and lower back pain
  • Improving circulation, digestion and elimination
